- Howlonghaveyou been cardmaking and how did
yougetintoit?Do you work in the papercraft
industry?I wasintroduced to cardmaking around 15
yearsagoat a craftshow, thought ‘I can do that’ and have
beencreatingeversince. I’ve been on many design
teamsovertheyears and am currently working with
ManorHouseCreations. - Describeyourwork area. I have a dedicated space
whichwasoriginally our formal dining room. I’ve kept the
largetablein thecentre and built my storage around it.
It’sbigenoughtohave my sewing machine out
permanentlyandlots of working space. When I’m
workingona project it’s chaos but I do try to put
everythingbackin its place when I’m done. - What’syourfavourite storage method? I store almost
everythingbycolour and especially love my Simply Renee
Clipit Up. - Do you prefer to craft during the day or night? How
often do you craft? I try to do something craft related
every day and much prefer to create at night – I’m a night
owl; I like the quiet. - Do you create one thing at a time or have several
projects on the go at once? If something isn’t
working, do you put it aside or keep going till you
get it right? I always work on one thing at a time. If
something isn’t coming together I sort supplies and
gather ideas then come back to it. The thought of a box of
unfi nished projects makes me dizzy! - Which products do you make a bee-line for when
shopping? Why? Papers, defi nitely papers. I love them. - What inspires you? I’m not entirely sure; but it’s a
combination of fresh new products, inspiring magazines
and online galleries. What keeps me creating? My friends
and family; you can never underestimate the power of a
handmade card.
