Creating faux
stitching
Generation
stamping
Joining two die-cuts
to make card base
1 Use a ruler and pencil to mark dots
where you would like the faux stitching.1 Ink and stamp your image as normal. 1 Cut out two of the same dies
from card.2 Place the card on a foam mat and use a
paper piercer to make the holes.2 Stamp the image again without re-inking,
this will give a slightly lighter version.
2 Score one piece 10mm from one edge
and fold.3 Y ou can also purchase a ruler with holes
in it – so all you need to do is pierce
straight through it.4 Use a pen in your desired colour and
draw lines between the holes. You can
leave little gaps between them or fi ll
them all as desired.3 Stamp the image once more, again
without re-inking it.3 Add double-sided tape in the scored
section.4 This technique gives you three different
colour options to work with.4 Place the second die-cut over the top
lining them up and secure together to
make card.
