AIPP National Board - Meeting Summary

The following summarises the outcomes of the March 2019 AIPP
National Board meetings, as compiled by Steve Wise.

DIRECTOR CONFLICTS OF
INTEREST DISCLOSURE
It was suggested and agreed that directors’
conflicts of interest will be declared monthly
in the AIPP Journal via a standing statement,
to let the Members know that these conflicts
of interest are regularly under review. This will
commence in the next issue of the Journal.
Members are to also be made aware that in
discussions focused on the brands that present
a conflict of interest, the conflicted director will
recuse themselves from the discussion and any
relevant decision-making processes.

NEW ZEALAND MATTERS FOR
DISCUSSION
Current NZIPP president Ollie Dale was invited
as a guest to the directors' training and strategy
day and was able to join the board meeting to
talk through a number of matters relevant to
the NZIPP at present.
The Board was congratulated on the result

of recent investigations, highlighting that a
process had obviously been followed and that
the matter had tested the Awards systems and
proven that they work. John Swainston thanked
Ollie and the NZIPP Board for working with the
AIPP on this matter.
Ollie updated the Board about the NZ Event
which will be held in Wellington in June 2019.
This includes three days of judging, a trade
show, public events and workshops, a two-day
conference and culminating in the gala dinner.
There is a charge for the conference with 180
seats available, currently 90 have been sold. It
was decided to promote this further to AIPP
Members at a discounted early bird price.

AWARDS SCRUTINEER ROLE &
4TB DRIVES
Steve Wise updated the Board about the
Awards Committee decision to update the
2019 Awards Entry Process, whereby all entrants
