RACE WRAP | MOUNTAIN MAN MX
started to arrive to take up the best
vantage points around the track.
The competitors faced an absolute
torture test of three, 30-minute motos,
plus a final, with only five-minute
breaks between the heats. Barely
enough time to get your breath back
and take on some much-needed fluids,
before lining up for the next race.
Right from the start it was Todd
Waters battling with the likes of
Richard Evans, Aaron Tanti and local
Husqvarna rider Kaleb Barham
(right). In Race One, veteran Travis
Regeling crashed his Honda heavily
and needed to be taken to hospital for
treatment, we hope he’s okay.

Track work
The Toowoomba Motocross Club has
hosted the Mountain Man event at Echo
Valley for a staggering 47 years but isn’t
easing up. Over the off-season the club
spent a considerable amount of money
on track improvements and upgraded
the watering system. Echo Valley has
consistently been rated one of the best
tracks in Australia.
