batteryaswellasthesameupgrades
totheXplorforkandshock.
Themotorisobviouslythesame
astheKTMbuttheHuskyhasa
differentairboxaspartofthe
carboncompositesubframe.The
airboxactuallygivesthemotora
slightlydifferentfeeltotheKTM
and,duringourtest,theHuskywas
eversoslightlyslowerthanthe
KTM.Don’tgetmewrong,themotor
isstillsupersmoothandstrongbut
thesedays,weareseriouslypicking
outthesmallestdifferencesto
produceawinnerfortheshootout.
YoucouldnoticetheHuskywasjust
notasfree-revvingastheKTM.
TheHuskychassisisdifferentto
theKTMandrunsalinkagerear-
end.Thelinkageoffersadifferent
feeltoKTM’sPDSandinshortthe
linkagehasa‘less-active’feel.It
feelsmoreplantedontheground
andtherearethosewholikethat
feelingandthosewholikethePDS.
Personally,Iliketheactivefeeling
ofthePDSasyoufeellikeyouhop
aroundonthetrailandswitchfrom
HUSQVARNA FE501
