onthesameprinciple.TheaimoftheL
shapeistobringthepigeonsincloseand
theyshouldpassacrossthefrontofthehide.
Witha lefttorightwind,youshouldhavea
lineofdecoysrunningalongthefrontofthe
hide10-15yardsoutandthesecondlegof
theL headingawaytoyourleft.Thepigeons
shouldapproachintothewindandfly from
righttoleftinfrontofyou.Theiraim,to
landintheareathathasn’tbeenfed,which
isinfrontofthesecondlegoftheL.Perfect
crossingtargets.Obviouslytheopposite if
the wind is reversed. Happy days!

liketolandstraightintothe
wind and should come up the


fieldtowardsyou.Theywilllookto
landwheretheythinktheflock
hasn’tbeen,whichisinfront
oftheV andprobably
eithersideofthe
point.Thisbrings
thebirdsinclose
andmyphilosophy
isgetthemascloseas
possible;15-25yards
isperfectfora clean
kill.Rememberto
faceyourdecoys into
the wind.
