suitedhimwell.Itisimportantfora shooter
tousea gunthatsuitsandfitswell.When
I taughtmywifetoshoot,it wasn’tuntil
sheuseda smaller,lighter20-borethatshe
announcedthatit wasnow‘doable’.
Wesettledona MirokuMK38forAlastair,
whichgavehimprettymuchthe right size
and weight combination.

Essentials

Mostgroundswillinsistonbasicprotection:

• Ear defenders– thereare all sortsavailable,
  butthoseelectronictypeswillenable you to
  hearnormallyinbetweenshots.


• Glasses– any thataffordprotectionwill do
  thejob,especiallypolycarbonatemodels.


• Skeetvest– a must.It offersa smooth
  shoulderpatchandpocketsfor cartridges.


• A hat or cap is alsouseful.

youraccuracytenfold,whetheritbe

increasingleadorfollowingthroughwith

theshotthatI wouldn’thavepicked

uponmyown.Havingsomeonealongside

youwithexperienceis invaluableto

improvingandI willkeep the lessons up

throughout the year.
