During February’s Miami Boat Show,

Chris-Craft took the opportunity

to launch the latest addition to

its handsome Launch range.

The Launch 28 GT sports an

entirely new hull and deck, with

a walk-through transom and

reversible sunpad that flips between

sunbathing space and seating.

There are inboard and outboard

engine options of 300hp from

Mercury, giving a top speed in the

region of 40 knots.

As ever with Chris-Craft, the devil

is in the detail. The Launch 28 gets

a beautiful driver-focused helm with

varnished mahogany trim and a retro

instrument cluster to supplement the

digital navigation aids.

The potty toilet is a useful touch

that means long days on the water

don’t have to be cut short.

As an option, you can spec a folding

hardtop that folds forward at the

touch of a button to reduce the air

draught when towing it behind a car.
