The Sangermani yard has built yachts renowned for
construction quality, speed and comfort. PEGASUS is a
masterpiece in a long line of excellent and in many cases
famous boats. Comfortable and fast, she exudes an almost
muscular presence of 1970s and 80s race boats. Designed to
cruise, her uncluttered expansive deck space and huge volume
below mean she is well suited to this role yet fast enough to win
regattas. Sangermani has built many beautiful boats from wood
and PEGASUS is their last and all the more special for this –
now seriously for sale.

The name GERMANIA stands out among the most famous
of German sailing yachts – part of the fame deriving from the
importance of their owners; the Krupp family. GERMANIA V is
a wonderful bye product of her era – a yawl designed for ocean
racing but with ample accommodation for cruising. This yacht
remains incredibly original but is in fine condition as a result of
few owners and a careful maintenance regime. GERMANIA V
is a pearl and highly recommended whether you want to classic
race or quietly cruise as her current owners have done.

Notable not only for her royal commissioning, OSBORNE is
close sister to Fife’s SIRENA built the same year in Cannes for
General Sir Arthur Paget. SIRENA was claimed as the most
successful 2nd International Rule 8 Metre on the Mediterranean

  • especially in light and moderate winds. OSBORNE has also
won there – more recently racing in the UK where she has
had a respectable initial showing at the Panerai Classic Yacht
Regatta, Cowes. She may represent an opportunity for anybody
wanting to race the 2019 8 Metre Worlds in Cowes - sailing a
    well priced Fife!

29 ft Albert Strange Gaff Yawl 1920

For lovers of elegant small yachts combining artistry with
practicality perhaps no designer embraced this genre like Albert
Strange. His boats were simple in concept yet sophisticated
in detail; practical; capable in the worst of weather. His
enthusiasm was for vessels accessible to those of more modest
means, and that could be sailed singlehanded. 2004-2007
VENTURE was rebuilt by boatbuilder and Strange aficionado
Jamie Clay: restoration to the highest standard, seemingly
regardless of expense. An incredible yacht in near perfect
condition: beautiful; brave; businesslike; without any pretence.

The Frisell family were sailors and moreover could afford to
choose the best tool for the job. The name KAY is associated
with some fine S&S designs and this boat now named LEGEND
is no exception. She has proved herself on the race courses
over the years – 2nd overall 1957 Fastnet Race - and built by
Abeking & Rasmussen she has that detailing that some of her
sisters from lesser yards are lacking. LEGEND presents now in
impressive condition and this 53 ft S&S yawl for classic racing
and family cruising is no compromise.

An iconic race winner by any standards, her light weight – for
that period nevertheless belies the strength of CLARIONET’s
construction by Lallows. Her reputation and capabilities are
an undoubted inspiration to those with racing in mind and it is
notable that CLARIONET along with her sister ROUNDABOUT
figure - as the “Terrible Twins” in Olin Steven’s “LINES a half
century of yacht designs” - with particular reference to the
pioneering - and successful use of separated rudder and keel.
