Go red at Brown’s

Redfish, whose
natural habitat is the
Mediterranean rocks,
can only be line-
caught, making it
a safe choice for those
seeking a delicious yet
eco-friendly meal. Line
fishing is the most
sustainable method
of sourcing seafood,
because no other
marine life is harmed
in the process.
Chef Heinz Beck has
chosen redfish for
the Italian-inspired
menu of his new
London restaurant,
Beck at Brown’s. “It’s
extremely tasty and
versatile, but so tricky
to source that our
kitchen never knows
how much they are
going to get: it can
range from 3kg to
10kg, depending on
how much they have
been able to catch,”
he says. Order the
redfish, courgette and
red pepper linguine –
before they run out.

COOL SHORTS
PAUL SMITH
Tropical prints are a big trend,
but here’s something for
a change from the ubiquitous
hibiscus: when you hit the
water, what could be more
appropriate than these tropical
fish design swimming shorts
to rock the reef with?
£95, paulsmith.com

SLIDES
VERSACE
Slides – or sliders in the US – are the
summer’s essential shoes, and are as
perfect in the first class cabin as they are
poolside. Indulge yourself and step out in
style with these velvet numbers with an
eye-catching regal twist by Versace.
£590, versace.com

A TOUCH OF PINK
DSQUARED2
Pink is the hottest colour for
men when the temperature
rises. And it doesn’t get more
shocking than these swim shorts
by Dsquared2 – the perfect
eye-catching shade to set off
your tan. £145, dsquared2.com

TAILOR MADE
ISAIA
Traditional Neapolitan
tailoring is classic and this
linen mélange blazer by
Isaia will always be in style.
Cut close to the body, the
silhouette is extremely
flattering and just needs
a simple white T-shirt
to become your
summer nights staple.
£1,800, mrporter.com

SUMMER WHITES
NEIL BARRET T
Wearing white is what
summer is all about –
head-to-toe, or twinned
with dark blue or a
Breton top for a nautical
twist. These cotton-twill
trousers have a hint of
stretch for extra comfort
and a modern cropped
leg. £425, neilbarrett.com

1970S SHADES
GUCCI
These tortoiseshell-
framed, aviator-style
sunglasses with green
lenses certainly make the
cut on the Côte d’Azur.
And to keep it cool, the
iconic Gucci red and green
stripes along the arms give
them that ironic 1970s
playboy touch.
£250, gucci.com
