Top left and center—To minimize turbulence around through-hull  ttings and the exhaust tubes, Duraglas is applied and hand-
faired. The dark line at left shows the outer boundary of the compound. Once painted, the fairing is hardly noticeable.
Above right—Before the rudder tube and bearings are  xed in place, a plumb bob is suspended in-line with the rudder shaft to
ensure that it is absolutely vertical. Above left—The V-shaped fairing at the left of three through-hull  ttings de ects water
to reduce turbulence.
