ZF MARINE’S HYBRID READY 3300 PTI TRANSMISSION
ZF Marine’s (Friedrichshafen, Germany) 3300 PTI transmission made an appearance
aboard Hessen Yachts’ M/Y HOME at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

CHIRP-READY TRANSDUCERS WITH
MIX & MATCH CABLES
AIRMAR introduces chirp-ready transducers for any installation with mix and match
cables for every sonar brand. Designed for easy installation during hull production,
M&M cables make it simple to connect the transducer to the sonar display later.

ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING A FORCE IN MARINE TOOLING
A 3D printed boat hull pattern has been completed using a near net shape additive
manufacturing process and then successfully used to produce a production capable
berglass mold. This project was a collaboration between Thermwood Corporation
(Dale, Indiana), Techmer PM (Clinton, Tennessee), and Marine Concepts (Sarasota,
Florida). The tool was printed oversized and trimmed to nal net size and shape
using Thermwood’s large scale additive manufacturing system (LSAM®) and made
from Techmer’s Electral© ABS LT1 3DP. After the 6-section tool was coated and
nished, a berglass mold was produced using the printed pattern.
