October 2: Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao visited Greece. During this visit, Premier
Wen Jiabao held talks with the Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou and
delivered a speech on China-Greece relations and China-EU relations in the
Greek Parliament. The two sides released theChina-Greece Joint Declaration
Concerning the Deepening Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
October 4: Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao paid an official visit to Belgium and
attended the 8th Asia-Europe Meeting and the 13th China-EU Summit.

October 5: Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao attending the Asia-Europe Meeting in
Belgium, left for Germany at night and met with German Chancellor Angela
Merkel at Schloss Meseberg, Berlin; the two sides released a Joint Press
Communiquéabout the Chinese and German Prime Ministers’Meeting.
October 6: The 13th China-EU Summit was held in Brussels and a joint press
communiquéwas released.

Brussels, and delivered a speech there.
▲Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and the President of the European Commission,
José Manuel Barroso attended the opening ceremony of the 1st China-EU
Cultural Summit in Brussels and Premier Wen Jiabao delivered a speech at this
Summit.

October 7: Visiting Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and Italian Prime Minister
Silvio Berlusconi participated in the activities in celebration of the 40th
anniversary of the establishment of China-Italy relations and the Year of Chinese
Culture opening ceremony, in which Premier Wen Jiabao delivered a speech.

October 27: Chinese President Hu Jintao held talks with Italian President
Giorgio Napolitano in Beijing.
November 4: Chinese President Hu Jintao kicked off a State visit to France.
Both sides signed cooperation agreements concerning nuclear energy, aviation,
energy conservation, environmental protection, etc.
November 6: Chinese President Hu Jintao held talks with his Portuguese
counterpart, Anibal Cavaco Silva, in Lisbon. Both sides signed cooperation
documents concerning people-to-people exchanges, science and technology,
tourism, electric power, communication andfinance, etc.
November 26: German President Christian Wulff met with Chinese State
Councilor Ma Kai who was attending the 4th meeting of the China-EU Forum
Hamburg Summit in Germany.
