▲The 1st China-EU Youth Leaders’Dialogue was held in Suzhou.

April 25: French President François Hollande kicked off a two-day State visit to
China. During this visit, Chinese President Xi Jinping and President François
Hollande held talks and attended the signing ceremony for 18 cooperation
documents between both governments and among enterprises.

▲The 1st meeting of the China-EU High Education Cooperation and Exchange
Platform was held in Brussels.

April 25–28: EU High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and
Security Policy Catherine Ashton visited China. April 27: Chinese Foreign
Minister Wang Yi held talks with the EU High Representative of the Union for
Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-president of the European
Commission Catherine Ashton in Beijing.

▲The 13th Chinese navalfleet wrapped up afive-day friendly visit to France
and left to return to China.

April 29: The China Development Bank and Redes Energeticas Nacionais
signed a refinancing agreement worth 0.4 billion EUR (about 0.52 USD) in
Lisbon, the Capital of Portugal.
May 8: The European Commission deliberated and approved the proposal
concerning the imposition of a provisional penalty duty on photovoltaic prod-
ucts exported from China.

▲The 3rd EU Youth Open Day activity was officially launched at the EU’s
Delegation to China and embassies of EU member states.

May 14: The 2nd Europe-China Economic Cooperation Forum was held in
Katowice, Poland.
May 15: The European Commission decided to launch antidumping and
anti-subsidy investigations against Chinese wireless communication network
and key equipment.
May 15–19: Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras visited China and attended
the 2nd annual meeting of the Taihu World Cultural Forum. On the morning of
May 16, Prime Minister Antonis Samaras visited the Chinese Academy of
Social Sciences and delivered a speech on China-Greece relations and Greece's
economic situation. On the afternoon of May 16: Chinese Premier Li Keqiang
held talks with Prime Minister Antonis Samaras. May 17: Chinese President Xi
Jinping met with Prime Minister Antonis Samaras in the Great Hall of the
People.
