glass bodies, buildings can be seen
reflected, but (once again) the
original shapes of the buildings are
given a new form by the contours of
the glass. Here, again, something as
quotidian as a building is turned into a
work of art when it comes into
contact with the contoured glass. We
see not only the buildings in a new
light but also the bottles themselves,
through the medium of DeSerres'
photography.
This intersection of sculpture,
photography, and architecture is
always fascinating in her work. And,
her interest in design does not end
here. She also explores the reflection
of buildings on the water. Several of
her photographs depict wobbly,
almost formless puddles of water in
which the outlines of a building can
