Zach Christopher is a fine art photographer based in
Tampa Bay Florida with a unique artistic approach to
his creations. Notably, the majority of Christopher's
work revolves around 3 different series entitled "UP,"
"Noucentisme" and "Narrative, Passages, Perception,"
each one of them focusing on an individual approach
to recurring themes of photography.

"UP" can be considered as a rethinking of traditional
landscape art. It is the artist's personal approach to the
way that landscape art is treated. As per Christopher's
remarks: "Regardless of where one is regionally
located, all is equal when one looks up." Through this
idea, he manages to successfully rethink the concept
of landscape photography. Instead of viewing this
theme as something linear that represents merely what
is offered in front of you, he portrays his shifted point
of view towards the sky of an urban setting. The
resulting photographs pose an extreme interest

concerning the optical contrast that they create. They
are landscapes without the horizon but often there is a
building or an object juxtaposed in front of the endless
sky. Thus one can experience at the same time a well
defined man-made object and the chaotic and highly
abstract patterns that are evident in the firmament.
