film instead of contemporary digital
photography is a series of photographs
which frequently uses the human body, but
this time in an entirely different way.
Remarkably, the form and content of the
photos are related to the careful positioning
and correlation of interior and exterior light.
Christopher comments about this series that
"photography, regardless of instilled
concepts of subject matter, is luminescent
forms of light and shadow. It is through the
perception that content is given to these
artistic forms to create a visceral experience
for the viewer.". This idea which is the
conceptual basis of these photographs is
incredibly intriguing as it manages to create
an interesting interaction with the audience.
Initially one might interpret this series of
work as highly narrative, because of the
frequent use of human figures that also
might interact with each other and are not
detached from their environment as in
"Noucentisme." Also, the space used is also
much more defined than the patterns of the
sky presented in "UP," thus creating a more
vibrant impact.

The final point that enhances his stand on
this matter is the choice of the film instead
of digital photography, a medium which is

100% based on light and photosensitivity without the
filtering of the image through digital means. It is a
fascinating and ultimately successful line of thought,
as it manages to convey exactly this delicate balance
between narration and perceptions. Christopher is an
artist that offers the viewer a broad range of themes
and ideas, managing to convey some fresh
approaches to his medium. His series have a carefully
defined and assembled conceptual background, which
serves as the basis for a very fruitful and professional
realization.
