And at that moment she invited me to photograph her
whole collection that year, and I have appeared in
magazines ever since and little did I know it was the
start of this new adventure!

What do you like about photography?

I love so many things about photography! I love the
form of expression that can be translated into art
through your creativity, freedom, and vision. It’s a
moment in time that you get to capture. Being able to
see it come to life. Being able to exhibit my work is
such an incredible and humbling experience I get to
share with everyone. There is nothing like seeing your
work big and up on the wall with people admiring it!

How long had you been shooting until your first

publication and award?

My first publication came within six months I had
finished my course in photography. I was very lucky to
score my very first front page cover back in 2006 and
in 2008 I had received my first award in the Black &
White Spider Awards for my image “Timeless Beauty.”

If you could describe your photography, whether
that be your style or overall theme, what would it
be?

My style in my art is very sensual, romantic and
feminine. I photograph how many artists paint. I love
creating art in photography, using fashion elements
and for it to be natural as opposed to being very
touched up. I love the freedom I have in the shooting. I
like going into a photo shoot with a vision but nothing
set in stone and not to limit anyone who I work with. I
love when you create magic; your creativity comes to
life and being able to capture it in a second.

Would you prefer to develop an image before
going and shooting, or going out and being
inspired by the location?

Well, I would have to say a little bit of both! I don’t go
into a photo shoot with a distinct image. I go in with an
idea or a theme in mind to be developed. When you
work with a team everyone needs to be on the same
page and see your vision or feel your mood. However,
I am never restricted by what could happen on set. I
always go open-minded into a photo shoot. I think as
soon as you limit yourself while shooting you can lose
that magic that can happen on set! And that’s the most
important part of creating is seeing the magic come to
life through art!

Your work primarily encompasses portraiture that
reveals inner feelings, with close attention to
detail. Can you discuss your approach to depicting
emotions in your work?

I would say my approach is as simple as allowing
myself to feel. Whatever you are dealing with in life
and the feelings that I have I try to express and create
