“I seek to create these images considering a constant
transformation, that of the landscape and also my own
as a photographer who does not search for desolation
but for solitude which encourages reflection. It is from
that state of introspection that nature reveals the
subtle which brings the sublime closer, thus allowing us
to find ourselves.

Under the title of “Intervals,” this set of images taken in
different latitudes at different times allude both to the
light as well as to time standing still, the instant in

which one ́s nature becomes vulnerable and confronts
the viewer.

The landscape appears here as a metaphor for being
and being in a place. A spectacle which seems built
and retouched and which is nothing more than a game
of perception. My eye captures the particular and what
is alien before opting for the whole of the scenery,
from detail springs up everything entirely new.

Technically, the pieces are built from the overexposure
of whites which allows, after developing them on
screen, the choice of the big format which is part of
the essence of the series. The photographs, huge
windows which permit the fragments, shadows,

textures and tone variations to be revealed.”
