Sunbrella

Textiles brand Sunbrella will be teaming up with Italian-born,
Paris-based designer Marc Ange, of studio Bloom Room on an
installation (below) to mark the launch of a new collection of its
performance upholstery fabrics so loved by superyacht owners.
Bloom Room has previously collaborated with Jean Paul Gaultier,
Valentino, Ferrari and Louis Vuitton, adding an element of the
fantastical to the luxury brands’ products. Few details have been
given about the new Sunbrella line, which will be revealed at
Salone, but we imagine it’s worth stopping by for. sunbrella.com

Paolo Castelli

With a stand specially designed by its eponymous founder and CEO, Paolo Castelli
will be encouraging all visitors to take a tactile approach, feeling as well as seeing
for themselves the quality of raw materials and craftsmanship that goes into its
products. This year the Italian brand will
be launching the Inspiration collection,
influenced by early 20th century design
and with its roots in sculpture. The
pieces to look out for? The Dione coffee
tables (above) in a series of three unique
sculptural shapes made from marble,
ceramic and galvanised metal; the Orus
Dormeuse chaise longue (with Belle
Epoque charm but unique contemporary
criss-cross style legs); and the striking
Midnight suspension lamp (right) crafted
from Murano glass and brass.

C&C Milano

Head to the C&C Milano stand to see its luxurious cashmere throws
being woven by hand as part of its Interior Decoration & Craft event.
San Patrignano Design Lab will be demonstrating the traditional
Italian weaving technique (above) used in the creation of throws and
outdoor rugs. There will also be a special guest from Japanese silk
manufacturer Moonshine Material, who will demonstrate three
different approaches to the creation of fine quality silk. Alongside
these interactive events, C&C Milano will also present its new fabric
range, which includes linen jacquards, a soft-finish suede and raw silk
inspired by the Mediterranean. cec-milano.com

Promemoria

Despite celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, Promemoria will be
showing at the prestigious design fair for the first time. The brand will
present some of its current furniture collections, including pieces from
Bottega Ghianda (below right), the brand specialising in artisanal solid wood
objects and furniture that Promemoria acquired in 2015, and its lighting
collections featuring its patented energy-saving Icosaedro lighting system.
Most notable is the launch of the Indigo Tales collection, designed by
Romeo Sozzi, which includes pieces such as the Iris chair, made from
stained blue beech wood with a cushion upholstered in soft blue leather
(below left). promemoria.com
