Places
If you import photos taken on your smartphone they
will automatically appear in Places view, marked as
pins on a map. Most regular cameras don’t have GPS, so your
photos won’t have location data embedded in them automati-
cally, but you can put them on the map manually.3
People
You can use tools such as the Add People button to
find and tag friends and family members in specific
shots. You can then use the People panel to organise your
pictures by Groups such as Colleagues, Friends and so on.
We’ll look at ways to tag people in more detail in Chapter 3.
