London-based photographer and television
commercial director Tomo shoots for
fashion magazines such as GQ, L’Officiel
Hommes Italia, Mr Porter, L’Uomo Vogue and
Harper’s Bazaar. This month he touched
down in Miami for our fashion story.

What was the inspiration for the shoot?
The idea was to create an aviation-inspired
story that would look real and believable

and to move away from an expected
and posed look
What were your favorite pieces?
The Dunhill coat looked amazing
Miami – love or hate?
Love. Sun, heat and sea everywhere!
What is your flying style?
Traveling light (not often possible)
Boat or plane?
Boat. I love the sea

As our research and data manager, Raphael was the perfect person
to compile the Global Order Book (page 25). The self-confessed
superyacht junkie and founder of yachtspotter.com has followed
the industry for more than 30 years.


Which upcoming projects are you most excited about?
Some of the largest sailing yachts – the 265ft Royal Huisman hull 400,
the 141ft Baltic 142 Custom, or the 141ft Wally 143 built by Persico Marine
Did you notice any trends?
We have more superyachts under construction this year again – more
motor yachts, more expedition yachts, but fewer sailing yachts
What is the biggest boat under construction?
The 595ft expedition yacht REV, designed by Espen Øino, built by Vard
