EDITOR’S LETTERI have waxed lyrical about the virtues of semi-custom production on this
page before, but for those with short memories let me say simply: I really
like it. There’s a lot to be said for a boat with a proven hull and engineering
that you can still stamp a bit of personality on. You might end up with the
same model as the couple down the quay but you also don’t have to wait
three or more years for a custom new build. Life’s short, let’s not forget.
