High Points
XSupreme’s deep-V hull produces
a solid wave and provides a more
comfortable ride than other water-
sports boats, whether wakesurfi ng
or cruising across the lake.
XThe S238 is Supreme’s biggest
boat, which means there is a lot
of space to spread out and enjoy
time on the water. The big bow is
especially spacious.
XDisplacing water is one thing, but
in order to make a good wave, you
need some technology. QuickSurf
makes a solid, clean wave with the
push of a button.

SUPREME

S238

istic, a result of size and hull shape, en-
sures a nice long wave that allows riders to
switch back and forth with ease. Overall,
the S238’s wave proved very rider-friendly
and forgiving. We found it a lot of fun. But
it’s still a big and powerful enough wave for
advanced riders to push themselves while
learning new tricks. While it can suit a
variety of styles, surf-style riders will es-
pecially love this wave. For instance, ad-
justing the center tab settings also allows
customizing the wave characteristics to
suit individual rider preferences. Ballast
capacity is 2,700 pounds.
Using the new SeeTouch Dash makes
controlling boat systems simple. With
its features and performance, Supreme
makes it easy to place the S238 on the short
list of those seeking a new tow-sports boat.

The biggest boat in the Supreme lineup for
the 2018 model year, the S238 lived up to
its reputation during our full day of test-
ing and riding by delivering a large wave
with ample push. With seating capac-
ity for you and a crew of up to 16, we also
found you need not be shy about inviting
family, friends, and even the
inevitable friends of friends.
This boat provides the space
needed to bring everybody
with you for a day of excite-
ment out on the lake.
It’s certainly got the get up
and go needed to perform with
a large crew aboard. When we
put the throttle handle in the
corner, our test boat zoomed
to a top speed of 38.1 mph and
accelerated to 20 mph in just
5.9 seconds. Still, it posted a
thrifty 3 mpg while cruising
along at 22 mph. It’s quick

and effi cient. And the rough-water ride is
attenuated more than with most water-
sports boats by the V shape of the hull and
the acutely angled keel.
Engaging the QuickSurf system makes
increasing the size of the wave produced
by this boat easy and takes little time. We
discovered the Supreme S238’s wave grows
substantially as we added ballast. For ex-
ample, with just a captain and a spotter on
board during testing, the wave was big and
the pocket was easy for our rider to fi nd
and stay in; she never had to hunt for it. At
nearly 24 feet long and with the signature
deep-V hull, the Supreme S238 displaces
an inherently massive amount of water
compared to other boats. This character-
