Düsseldorf Stand 5/C22

Sealine will have the flybridge version

of the C430 (read our test on p72) on

show for the first time at Düsseldorf.

The boat lends itself to being a

flybridge thanks to its huge saloon

windows and long cockpit, which

in turn allows for a large overhang

to deliver plenty of space on the

top deck.

Up top, there’s room for four to sit

facing forward and a generous spread

of seating to port, which converts to

a sunpad. Aft, the wide wet bar is well

located, running across the beam of

the boat in the aft corner. The main

deck and accommodation are the

same as the C430.

Exact details are thin on the

ground, but we presume engine

options will be the same as the coupé,

IPS600 being the pick of the bunch.

Princess’s strikingly handsome

S Class flagship will make its global

debut at Düsseldorf.

Despite being the largest S model

to date at 80ft 11in (24.7m), the S78 is

by no means lacking in performance

and is capable, according to Princess,

of 39 knots with the largest pair of

1,900hp MAN V12s. There are two

smaller engine options if top-end

A central walkway

leads from the transom

up to a fabulous cockpit

complete with dedicated

sunbathing space and

two separate external

seating areas that merge

effortlessly with the

glass-packed saloon.

Below, there are eight berths split

across four cabins plus a twin crew

cabin. All are ensuite. The owner

has a full-beam cabin amidships.

The flybridge is naturally more

compact than that of a regular 80ft

flybridge but it offers a raised driving

position and more external lounging

space to complement the cockpit

and foredeck seating area.

The 65 shows

there is life in

Demonstrating that there’s still life in

large sportscruisers yet, Princess will

launch the V65 (and the V50) at the

German show.

The V65 has a standard four-cabin

layout with the double master and VIP

ensuites supplemented by two guest

cabins, one a twin and one with bunks.

The main deck features a vast

saloon, drenched in natural light

thanks to the glazing, which leads out

to a sociable cockpit complete with

a double sunpad and tender garage.

Performance is strong with either

engine option, the MAN V8 1200s are

good for 35 knots while the V12 1400s

should push the S78 to just shy of

40 knots – impressive numbers for
