printed Hawaiian envelope was amongst the
many lots at HR Harmer’s 75th Anniversary
Public Auction. Featuring a large bold red
‘T’ postage due marking tying a 5c stamp,
and the written notation ‘try clerk Flint
Peabody & Co, 430 Cal, City’, the rare
envelope was described as ‘very unusual and
possibly unique’. Also shown on the cover’s
front were Wells Fargo ovals with receiving
from San Francisco and bold red origination
