“We were all strangers

in the compartment,

but these two ladies

connected with each

other over the fact

that they were both

travelling to Bengaluru

to visit their children.

I wanted to capture the

companionship between

the two as well as the

strange way in which they

seemed to be mirroring

each other’s actions.”
