40th Anniversary of Postverk Føroya

• the Faroese Postal Service
  On April 1st 1976 the Danish postal services in the Faroe
  Islands were formally taken over by the Faroese govern-
  ment. The mini-sheet illustrates the red Danish postbox
  (17KR) which was replaced by the new blue Postverk
  Føroya postbox (9KR) in 1976.

EUROPA 2016: THINK GREEN

The 9KR Europa stamp is designed by Faroese artist,

Edward Fuglø, and illustrates a hypnosis circle which

should encourage us to think more about the environ-

ment. The 17KR stamp is the winning design in

PostEurop’s design contest designed by Doxias Sergidou

from Cyprus.
