elcome to the Classic Boat Awards in association
with Classic Marine, celebrating the best
restorations and newly built classic boats launched
over the past year. The next nine pages features
Metre boats, gaff ers, keelboats, dinghies, motor yachts and more,
each built or restored with impeccable workmanship and
knowledge, some by professional boatbuilders, some by amateur
wood-workers. Our shortlist has been put together following many
nominations sent in by you – thank you for all of them – and many
subsequent hours of deliberations by us. Choosing which boats
make the shortlist is never easy, but the tougher job falls to you!
Your votes alone will decide which boats win. So please visit our
website, where a dedicated Classic Boat Awards page off ers an
easy-to-vote format. 2017 has been a fascinating year for launches
and we have also seen impressive personal achievements. Cast a
vote too for your favoured Yachtsman of the Year.
