It’s surprising how often we ind we need to zero in on the center of a document, but
there’s no simple way to do it – unless you know this little trick. Go to View>New Guide
Layout. Set both Columns and Rows to 2, then choose Save Preset from the dropdown. Now
the new guide layout can be accessed quickly whenever you need it.

HIDE ALL OTHER LAYERS
If you want to view a single
layer in a multi-layered document,
hold Alt and click the eye icon on the
layer to hide everything else,
then Alt-click it again to reveal
the hidden layers once more.

NONLINEAR HISTORY
If you go back a few history steps and then
make a new edit, you lose the history steps
after that point, which can be annoying. To
change this, click the lyout menu at top right
of the History Panel, choose History Options
and check Allow Non-Linear History.
