The Mixer Brush is the
best tool Photoshop
ofers for making realistic brush
strokes. Used in combination with
Photoshop’s Bristle brushes, and
a pen and tablet, you can use it
to create paintings from scratch
by blending colours. However, for
those of us who aren’t as skilled
at painting freehand, the tool can
also be used to turn photos into
paintings by sampling the colours
in the image and turning them into
wonderful lowing strokes – kind
of like the Smudge Tool, only much
more powerful. It takes a little
time, but gives a painterly efect
