Pink Rooster are a Northampton, UK, based
wellbeing charity supporting a wide range of
beneficiaries from disadvantaged and
marginalised communities using a range of
creative, therapeutic and arts-based activities
and therapies to improve wellbeing, and address
issues around social isolation, stigma and lack of
statutory mental health provision.
The Covid pandemic, and now the ever-
looming cost of living crisis, is seeing a sharp rise
in the numbers of people of all ages experiencing
mental health issues, and this looks to rise
exponentially in the coming months as we start
to emerge from the worst of the pandemic and
the cost of living crisis starts to bite.
Pink Rooster are partnering with Immersive
Dome Experiences to develop and deliver a unique
combination of interventions based around the
use of immersive, virtual reality, combined with
VR and traditional therapies including ACT and
CBT and access to creative arts.
Northamptonshire comprises some of the
most deprived areas in the country with an
increasing need in services along with long

waits for NHS treatments.
Our work extends to a wide range of groups
(and surrounding geographical areas) living with
life limiting conditions including dementia,
neurodiversities, PTSD, anxiety disorders,
depression, autism, ADHD, special educational
needs, learning difficulties.
Using Pink Rooster’s new wellbeing centre to
act as a safe space and immersive hub, we are
confident that our innovative approaches will
address an ever-increasing need in service
provision for those unable to afford private
treatments or have long waits for statutory
provision.
We are getting more and more reports
that GP’s and social prescribers do not have a
continual pathway for people to get help, in one
case a GP telling a patient they had no suitable
local service to refer that patient to.

What can you do to help?
Our innovative approach to addressing gaps
in mental health provision and addressing
inequalities, requires significant financial, people
and time investment. We need support to help us
raise funds, in kind support to deliver our services
free at the point of delivery to an ever increasing
demographic and more volunteers to help deliver
and develop our services.
We are also looking to partner with academic
and healthcare institutions and help evaluate and
feed our work into research.
