Ricoh Co. announced that it will foray into

the 3D printer market with its offering—the

Ricoh AM S5500P. The company is targeting

European countries. Ricoh has been marketing

other makers’ products since 2014. The

company has also targeted to generate a sales

of 5 billion yen by March 2017. The Ricoh AM

S5500P has been conceptualised with Aspect

Co. The latter creates 3D products by using

resin powder and every layer is strengthened

by laser.

Canon makes an addition

to its PowerShot series

anon launched the

PowerShot G5 X and

PowerShot G9 X. Both the

cameras are mounted with a

one-inch Type 20.2MP CMOS

sensor. They offer an ISO range

of 125-12800. They also feature

a built-in ND �ilter for enhanced

exposure control in bright

shooting conditions.

The Canon PowerShot G5 X is

incorporated with a built-in

EVF. The camera houses a 24-

iris diaphragm and an optical Image

Stabilisation (IS) system.

The camera also features a three-inch

control ring has been

added that assists

in adjusting several

functions including

focus. The camera

pictures up to six frames

per second.

The Canon PowerShot

G5 X and the Canon

PowerShot G9 X are

priced at $799.99 and

$529.99 respectively.
