End of Another Day
with a point and shoot
camera, and used it
for about six months.
During that time, some
of my friends and well-
wishers appreciated a
few photographs. This
made me think that if
I had to continue and
do it seriously, I must
learn photography and
practice it in a proper
way. I did some study
with the help of the
Internet, watching
video tutorials, and
discussing with
co-photographers. I
purchased my first
D-SLR in 2011 with
a loan and pursued
photography seriously.
What made you
choose Landscape as
your genre?
I belong to the North
Eastern corner of India,
which is naturally very
beautiful and I was
brought up amidst
incomparable scenic
serenity. This, I feel, is
the prime reason to go
for landscape. Since
my childhood, I have
been attracted by the
colours of nature. I
always observed the
beautiful colours and
interesting formations
of clouds in the sky
during autumn. I loved
observing pictures of
waterfalls, night sky,
mountains, rivers,
and the blue colour of
the sea. All the time,
I dreamt to capture
them. I love beautiful
landscapes. Even when
I visit places, not as a
photographer, I give
