Regarding Marion Codner’s artwork
one can say that simple becomes
unexpectedly elaborate; the ordinary
metamorphose into distinctiveness,
as the goal is to create work that is
inherently distinctive and belies its
repetitiveness.
Her work explores the relationship
between everyday life and the amount of
options one can meet to deal with them,
what is the most unrefined attitude
towards life itself. Often a composition
is to experiment with group structure
and the dynamics of configurations
that symbolises for me something very
different to the spectator. There is
persistent interplay and dialogue within
each artwork and the watcher that
amplifies values of meanings.
She creates nuances to challenge the
that dialogue and just enough expressive
and sometimes different variations to
the seemingly recurring shapes.
