As I worked on successive
pieces I found that I wanted
to simplify the images and
create a more constructive
sort of abstract painting,
but keeping it real and fluid
feeling.
The new buildings that were
being erected along the
canal [to replace the old]
reminded me of a Mondrian
painting. And the canal
reflected that contemporary
architectural mood change.
Swedish National Benefit exhibition was another
(2002). And surviving cancer in 2004 was another
major seminal moment. All of these experiences
changed me and consequently my Art. All of the
extreme experiences thrust my mind forward and
became major positive contributors to a view
that Life and Art are indeed inseparable.
What art do you most identify with?
My own of course :-).
Tell us about your dream project?
Well, it's not a dream, it's a plan or if you will,
an artistic objective, a goal that I have promised
myself, one that I will achieve. It's specific.
Identified and it's waiting for me to begin it.
Name three artists you’d like to be compared
to. Can I rather say which one's I hold in
esteem?
