But it still attracts many young

women — especially in China, where

2,000 people attended a job fairin

Shanghai for China Eastern Airlines.

And it’s still important for flight at-

tendants to look well groomed. These

women are putting on make-up while

they wait to be called for an interview.

Local media reported that China

Eastern planned to recruit800 flight

attendants at the Shanghai job fair.

In 2012, the airline carried73 mil-

lion domesticand international

passengers. Its international routes in-
