be a real Sherlock Holmes and have
the perseveranceto find that pet.Favourite part of the job:Bringing a miss-
ing pet home to its family. One of my
favourite cases was a cat, which had
somehow escaped from its cage while
being loaded on to an aeroplane. I
worked out where he had gone by
speaking to people who had seen him,
and then I used dogs to track him.
The reunion got a lot of publicity.Least favourite part of the job:Bringing
bad news. I’ve learned that animals
are a big part of some people’s lives,
so much so that they are like part of
the family.
