HEATH NASH
AND MAKER LIBRARY
Heath Nash, Cape Town-based artist and Maker Librarian, presents a ‘flying
museum’ aeronautical artwork at THAT ART FAIR 2016 from 27 February
- 6 March 2016. An active member of the Museo Aerosolar community,
Nash creates massive solar balloons from used plastic bags to raise awareness
of our human impact on the environment. “I like that such a large object
can be so easily transportable; that the process of making it can be a shared
experience,” says Nash. “And it’s very nice to go inside the balloon once
its inflated; a kind of temporary instant architecture.” The Maker Library
Network (a series of connected creative spaces led by a ‘Librarian’) is a British
Council project.
