Ibrahim Letaief is Director of the Carthage Film Festival. Born in 1959, the
Kourian native is a film director, producer and columnist with Mosaique FM
radio. His production company, Long and Short was founded in 1997 and he
is the 2004 recipient of the Tanit d’Or for best Arab-African short film. ART
AFRICA met with Letaief to discuss the history of the fair and its role within
contemporary Tunisia and beyond.
