Val Porteous
and the Doncaster/Templestowe Artists Society,
and a past member of AGRA (the Australian Guild
of Realist Artists), where she joined her friends
in plein air painting on weeks away to various
places around Victoria, NSW, South Australia and
the Northern Territory. She is also a member of
the Heathcote Artists Society and Surf Coast Arts,
Aireys Inlet Victoria. Val spends a lot of time plein
air painting and believes it helps to keep in touch
with the ever-changing atmosphere.
Val was also one of a team of people who
assisted in painting the mural on the Rosanna Post
Oice wall and part of a team of three to paint the
bins in the Rosanna Shopping Centre.
Val has exhibited and sold many paintings
internationally for some years, and has won awards
in palette knife painting, Watercolours, Acrylics and
Watercolour sketching (Pen and Wash). Her work is
exhibited at the Doncaster/Templestowe Art Society
Gallery in Council Street, Doncaster. One of the
