Motor Boat & Yachting — February 2018

where the standing headroom just
inside the door quickly drops over two
single beds that convert to a double,
but that’s pretty standard on a boat
of this size and style. What isn’t pretty
standard is the master cabin forward,
which feels huge, with a large central
double bed, plenty of floorspace and
its own generous ensuite.
Crucially, all that interior space
has not come at the expense of
storage, because there is almost
no void anywhere in the boat that
hasn’t been utilised for yet more
locker space. “There’s so much
storage space that sometimes it
becomes hard to find things when
you’ve forgotten where you’ve put
them,” says Andrew North, who owns
a 2015 F380. Andrew’s father owned
a Sealine F33 many years ago when
Andrew was growing up, which the
family had a huge amount of fun
with. “We visited the Southampton
Boat Show in 2015 for a day out with
no real intention of buying. But we got
on so well with the guys from Penton
Hook Marine Sales and liked the F380
so much that we ended up buying
the show boat, hoping to replicate
some of those memories with my
own family. Buying the actual show
boat meant that not only did we get
a good deal, we also got a high level
of equipment as it was well specified
as a boat show demonstrator.”
In fact, Sealine was rather cunning
with the optional extras. Taking a leaf

For Andrew
North, the
F380 was his
first venture
into boating
since enjoying
his dad’s Sealine F33. He kept it
at Bray before moving it out to
Puerto Banus. A growing family
means Andrew’s boat is for sale.
The F380 you see here was
Ian Allison and his wife’s fifth
boat, which replaced the
Sealine S380 that they kept
at Windsor. Now for sale,
it makes way for a
new Sealine S450.

forgotten what a great little flybridge boat
this is. Modern, spacious, practical and with
a genuinely entertaining hull, it ticks all the boxes.
Rarity value should help keep prices up, too. Hugo

out of the French builders book,
the base price in 2014 was about

essential,” explains Chris Manners,
