The Detroit native’s fifth studio album features
guest appearances from Run the Jewels,
Obongjayar, Jpegmafia, and Blood Orange. It
has also already produced three singles: “Dirty

Daniel Dewan Sewell. - He has been described by veteran hip-
hop journalist Rob Markman as “one of rap’s

by Q-Tip, who is best-known for being
the main producer for New York hip-hop
collective A Tribe Called Quest. - Brown has said of the album’s title and
lack of concept: “Half the time, when black
people say, ‘You know what I’m sayin’,’ they’re
never saying nothing. This is just songs. You
don’t have to listen to it backwards. You
don’t have to mix it a certain way. You like it,
or you don’t.” - uknowhatimsayin¿ has been hailed
by critics, with Pitchfork’s Jayson Greene
commenting that it showed Brown
“remains one of the most inventive and
dimensional rappers working today.”
