(^7) Test hardware
Test your hardware out of the case before
installation, so you can identify any dead-on-
arrival items. It’s highly unlikely, but doing this
test will ensure you don’t waste time building
your PC only to find you have a faulty
component. Rest your motherboard on its box,
install the cooler on the CPU socket, plug in a
graphics card and power supply, connect all
the components and make sure your basic
systemwillentertheBIOSbeforecontinuing.
(^8) Remove fan mount fascia
The side fascia in the case covers the
otherwise unsightly fan mounts that exhaust
through a vent in the side panel. This needs to
be removed in order to mount our cooler. It
simply clips into place and lifts off by popping
it out of its mount from either end.
(^9) Connect case cables
Before you install the motherboard, connect
the fiddly case cables such as the power
button and USB headers. It’s easier to hook
them up now than when the motherboard is in
the case. Use the motherboard manual for an
in-depthdescriptionofwhatgoeswhere.
(^10) Install motherboard
With the cooler still attached to the
motherboard, install it into the case, taking
care not to stretch the cooler cables.
Remember the motherboard has an
integrated I/O shield, so you don’t need to
install it. Screw the motherboard in place
with the screws provided with your case.
(^11) Install radiator
Now install the radiator in the case’s side
120mm fan mounts. You want to have the fans
on the front of the radiator, exhausting air out
ofthecase,asshown.
(^12) Remove front case fan
Now you need to remove the front fascia in
order to access the front case fan that we’ll be
replacing. The facia pops off easily from one
end and reveals the front fan mounts.
Unscrewthe120mmfanlocatedhere.
(^13) Install Corsair ML140 fan
Install the Corsair ML140 fan as far down as it
will go in the fan mount, so it will provide more
airflow to the graphics card and M.2 slot. Now
reinstall the fascia and place the 120mm case
fan in the rear fan mount, exhausting air from
the case.
