(^14) Install graphics card
Now install the graphics card. Remove the
PCI-E expansion slot covers on the case and
also check for stray cables blocking the PCI-E
slot. The case also comes in a vertical GPU
mount version, but it’s best to have the
graphicscardfacedownforoptimalcooling.
(^15) Connect cooler cables
The cooler includes a bunch of cables that
need to be connected, so that the lighting
works and the fans can be controlled by the
software. Gather the cables around the back
of the motherboard tray and connect them.
16 Connect case fans
There are only two fan headers on the
motherboard, and we’re be using both. Install
the rear fan to the CPU fan header and the
front fan to the system fan header. The rear
fan will likely have the biggest impact on
motherboard temperatures, so it makes sense
tohavethefanswiredthiswayaround.
(^17) Remove unwanted
PSU cables
As our PSU is semi-modular, we can remove
unused cables to reduce clutter. Only connect
the ones you’ll need, which in this system
means ditching all the peripheral cables
except for one SATA cable, which we need to
power the case lighting and CPU cooler.
(^18) Install PSU
Install the PSU in the roof of the case. There’s
no roof vent, so fit it with the fan pointing
down. Route all the cables through the nearby
cable-routing holes and thread them back
through to the motherboard area to meet the
appropriatehardware.
(^19) Connect power cables
Now connect the PSU power cables to your
hardware. It’s best to route the GPU cables
under the graphics card, and there’s plenty of
space next to the motherboard tray to route
themotherboard’scables.
(^20) Tidy cables
Finally, tidy your cables. There’s precious little
room in the Neo Mini behind the motherboard
tray, so you’ll need to make very good use of
the included Velcro-equipped stowage area.
