CHANGES

Brisbane’s and Rivergate
Marina and Shipyard and Aus
Ships Group (ASG) have been
recognised for their recent
work, fitting submersibles to
a superyacht support vessel.
The collaboration that
saw Triton submersibles
fitted onboard a 53m
Damen Sea Axe, earned the
2018 Business of the Year
(Manufacturer) award at this
month’s Australian Marine
Industry Awards.
Rivergate Director of
International Business Steven
Fisher said it was an honour
to receive the award that
recognised the teamwork
and the sheer dedication and
hard work of a multitude of
talented people.
Aus Ships Group Director
Tommy Ericson was also
pleased to thank Rivergate

for its assistance with the
project’s success.
“Thankyou to the
entire Rivergate family for
supporting the Aus Ships
Group from the beginning,”
he said.
The submersible
installation project involved
refitting a superyacht
‘shadow vessel’ with hangar
and garage facilities to handle
two new Triton submarines,
customised davits, docking,
stowage and refuelling.
“There is no ‘one-size fits
all’ approach – every client,
like their yachts, is unique.
“Rivergate is the one-stop-
shop for customization at this
ultra-high-end of the market
and takes the same approach
to projects for production
boats and commercial vessels
of all sizes,” said Ericson.
