“It’s one of the most beautiful boats
on the lake as far as I’m concerned,”
shared Chris Heil.
Three years ago, Heil bought his 28
SportToon from Peters Sugar Loaf Marina
on Greers Ferry Lake, Ark., and he’s
never looked back. Before his pontoon,
he owned a sport boat, but he and his
wife decided to step up into pontoons
because they have two kids, one of whom
has special needs, and they wanted
something more family-friendly.
When JC came out with its SportToon,
Heil fell instantly in love.
“It has a 300hp outboard, so it’s not
your parents’ pontoon,” declared Heil.
“It’ll get us across the lake as quick as
we want to go, and it’s a TriToon so we’re
riding on top of the water.”
The boat has excellent performance
and can turn on a dime. However, the
most important part for him and his
family is that everyone is comfortable
and safe. Heil is happy to report that

even cruising at 45 mph, he and his
family feel safe and secure.
Not only does it have plenty of room
and handle superbly, but Heil also loves
the features the 28 SportToon has to
offer.
“My wife picked out all the
particulars, so it’s got one heck of a
sound system,” added Heil. “When we
want to provide the tunes for the cove,
we sure can.”
People around the lake affectionately
call the Heils’ boat the “Transformer”
because of the red color and the red
motor. Everything about the boat is eye-
catching and beautiful.
The boat is fun for the entire family,
and they’ve made many memories
with it out on the lake. Heil loves
his 28 SportToon so much that he’s
recommended it to two of his friends and
both of them have purchased one.
“We would recommend it to
anybody,” added Heil.
