SILENT EYES

GOST’s 1080p high-defi nition surveillance
cameras are designed as onboard security
portals. The Mini-Ball ($499) and
Mini-Dome PTZ ($999) use a Sony Exmor
(2.41 megapixels) or Panasonic CMOS
(2.1 megapixels) sensor and a 3.6mm lens to
deliver high-defi nition imagery. The
cameras use LED technology to transition
from color to monochrome imagery as
daylight fades. A variety of fi nishes are
available, and the GOST app can control the
cameras. G O S T, g o s tgl o b a l .c o m

SELF-LEARNER

Artifi cal intelligence has become a preva-
lent element in modern life, and Palladium
Technologies is embracing it with its
SiMon X alarm, monitoring and control
system (price on request). The touchscreen-
based setup has a futuristic-looking,
customizable user interface (think Tom
Cruise’s Minority Report), and sans any user
or programmer input, the system can create
its own set of operating rules and condi-
tional alarms based on a vessel’s operations.
