n 3 May 2018, the Cluster Yachting Monaco organised a day
dedicated to yachting professionals in Monaco. A packed programme
was offered to participants for the second edition of this event. The
day included 13 exhibited yachts for sale or charter in the Yacht Club
de Monaco Marina (brought by our members) and eight workshops on relevant
topics for professionals in the sector.

The topics discussed were:


  • French Decree & Seafarers Social Protection changes, proposed
    by Ascoma Maritime and Catalano Shipping Services;

  • Mobile Shipyard Program presented by Monaco Marine;

  • Technology on the move by Icon Connect;

  • Global perspective of yachting clearance procedures by BWA
    Yachting, or Farewell to Privacy? The Effects of Anti-Money
    Laundering rules on the Yachting Industry by Equiom Group;

    • Evolution of Tax Transparency and other international
      initiatives affecting yacht ownership structures proposed
      by Rosemont Yacht Services & Management; and

    • New Trends in Fast Cruising Sailing Yachts from
      50’ to 150’ by Simonazzi Group.




This second edition of the Spring Pop Up has been an excellent opportunity
for 200 professionals to exchange ideas on matters they have in common, have
a chance to visit yachts as they prepare for their 2018 season, all they while
as they pursue actions initiated by the Cluster Yachting Monaco to raise the
Principality to Capital of Yachting status.
