One of the boat’s
defining characteristics
is a connection with
the elements around it.
Open spaces and a low
bathing platform serve
this end. With the optional
transformer, the Sherpa is
perfectly set up for sailing

Where are
they now?
With five Sherpas delivered
and another two in build,
where have the boats got to?
Hull #1 Belongs to the yard. “I own a shipyard but not
a boat,” jokes owner Ugo Pellegrino, who keeps the boat
in nearby Capri and sails it around the Amalfi Coast.
Hull #2 Cruised by a French couple with two children and
no skipper, the second Sherpa is kept on the Côte d’Azur
and last season cruised Capri, Elba, Sardinia and Corsica
as well as France’s Med coast. The owner says: “It was just
my family: myself, my wife and my son and daughter.
It was a great opportunity to spend time together and
thanks to the sky lounge and the huge cockpit there was
space for everybody.”
Hull #3 Delivered in May 2017 to Monaco, in time for the
Cannes Film Festival and the Monaco Grand Prix. The boat
has already racked up 300 engine hours, thanks to keen
use during the summer; normally a boat would take three
seasons to reach this point. Despite that, the owners
rarely sleep on the boat.
Hull #4 Overwintering in a neighbouring Neapolitan
shipyard, this is the furthest travelled of the Sherpas. “We
used it on the Costa Smeralda mostly as a day yacht, but
we cruised north for a full seven to 10 days. During the
summer everybody was staring at us!” the owners recall.
Hull #5 Just delivered to Miami by ship, the latest hull has
been bought by the company’s official US representative.
Enquiries are already coming in and the boat was
expected to sell during the Miami Boat Show.
